Timothy E. McGraw, PhD

Professor of Biochemistry

Professor of Biochemistry in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Dr. McGraw graduated with a BA at the University of Chicago in 1978 before moving to New York and completing his MA in 1983 and a PhD at New York University in 1985.

He worked on Transferrin receptor trafficking under the guidance of Dr. Fred Maxfield at Columbia University.

He then came to Weill Cornell Medical College as an Associate Professor of Biochemistry in 1997 before becoming Professor in 2004.

Research Technicians

Jennifer Wen

Jen is a Research Technician II and also our Lab Manager. She's our lab library and has worked on all the projects. Any questions regarding the cells, reagents or an assay, ask Jen!

She's a Brooklyn native but doesn't believe anything north of Prospect Park is Brooklyn.

Rosemary A. Leahey

Rosemary is a Research Technician I. She works on both mouse projects in the lab. The Rab10 and GIPR mice have no secrets for her. One might call her the mouse whisperer, but she won't admit.

Rosemary is also passionate about art and politics, and when we say "passionate", we mean it.

Emma F. Johnson

Emma is a Research Technician I. She works closely with Harsh on Glut4 trafficking proteins discovery and help out with animal work.

If you have a brilliant experiment idea and you want to involve her, just shout "OoOoOH Emma!", she now has a Pavlovian response to that.

Harsh Kumar, PhD

Harsh obtained his PhD in Cell Biology from UNESCO - Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad (India) in 2019. He is in charge of studying Glut4 trafficking in adipocytes and identifying new proteins involved in its intracellular journey.

Robert Downey Jr is flawless.

Lucie Yammine, PhD

Lucie graduated with a PhD in Cell Biology in 2018 at the University of Paris. She works on the GIPR projects, both on the cell trafficking of GIPR and mouse metabolism.

"A charcuterie board is a meat board. Add cheese and it becomes a charcuterie and cheese board. Fight me."

Eyoel Yemanaberhan, PhD

Eyoel received his PhD from NYU Langone Health in 2019. He works on PD-L1 biology and its postranslational modifications.

A one sentence answer is an answer, as long as you add sarcasm.
